Double Chocolate Bundt Cake

Recipe from my middle-school teacher, but she used sour cream instead of milk.

Ingredients Baking Instructions
  • 1 pkg. Duncan Hines Devils Food cake mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar
  • 4 oz. miniature chocolate chips
  1. Grease and flour your Bundt cake pan.
  2. Blend cake mix, milk, water, vinegar, and eggs on low speed of mixer until all ingredients are moistened.
  3. Beat 4 minutes on medium speed of mixer.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Pour cake batter into pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 to 45 minutes.
  7. Cool 15 to 20 minutes and remove from pan and cool.
  8. Frost or glaze.

My family loved this cake. I used regular sized chocolate chips. I will definately make this one again.

I Googled around, and it seems that vinegar is indeed a chocolate cake ingredient.

if you would go back and reread the directions you will find the vinegar in the first steps.in #2 good luck
