I did not glaze the cake...
The cake is wonderful as a cake only...
One of our most aromatic cakes, Orange Cinnamon Tea Cake tastes as lovely as its fresh-from-the-oven aroma implies.
Cake:
- 1 pkg Duncan Hines® Moist Deluxe® Orange Supreme Cake Mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/3 cups orange juice
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Glaze:
- 1/2 cup Duncan Hines® Creamy Home-Style Classic Vanilla Frosting
- 1 tbsp orange juice
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 10-inch Bundt or tube pan.
- For cake, combine cake mix, eggs, 1 1/3 cups orange juice, oil and cinnamon in large bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer for 2 minutes. Stir in 1/2 cup walnuts. Pour into pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 40 to 50 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 25 minutes. Invert onto serving plate. Cool completely.
- For glaze, combine frosting and 1 tablespoon orange juice in small bowl. Stir until smooth. Drizzle over cake. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup walnuts.

Only one store in our town carries this mix, but it's worth the effort, I usually do a little bit different measurments for the ingredients of the cake and glaze however. I like mine better, lol. But this recipe is a good starting point.

I live in Ohio and no store carries this flavor. How do I get the Giant Eagle or Walmart to carry it?

Great base recipe that had everyone asking for more, definately will become a family fave.
I did however add orange/tangerine juice and substituted applesauce for the vegtable oil. I also separated my eggs;mixing eggwhites first and in a separate medium bowl
(bowl must be squeeky clean),then in a small bowl I then mixed eggyolk and applesauce together ,before mixing into cake mix. Next I folded in the whipped whites and then poured into a bundt pan.
To really add some zip; grate orange rind into wet cake mix ,as well as into icing glaze, and sprinkled on top.
