With this Double Berry Layer Cake a delightful duo of blueberries and strawberries can be arranged both atop and between Duncan Hines Strawberry Supreme Cake layers using your own panache.
- 1 pkg Duncan Hines® Moist Deluxe® Strawberry Supreme Cake Mix
- 2/3 cup strawberry jam
- 2 1/2 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 (8 oz) container frozen non-dairy whipped topping
- fresh strawberry slices
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- Prepare, bake and cool cake following package directions.
- Place one cake layer on serving plate. Spread with1/3 cup strawberry jam. Arrange 1 cup blueberries on jam. Spread half the whipped topping to within 1/2 inch of cake edge. Place second cake layer on top. Repeat with remaining1/3 cup strawberry jam, 1 cup blueberries and remaining whipped topping. Garnish with strawberry slices and remaining 1/2 cup blueberries. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
