this looks fantastic. just wondering if anyone has tried it with chocolate cake and "blond" Oreos?
Comment by: mdhh (1 discussion) on Feb 4, 2012 at 08:38 AM
mdhh again. i decided to try it and it works, although the uniform agreement is that it needed more than 1 cup of crushed cookies. baked in 13x9 pan and used chocolate frosting.

Came out great, but I found it too sweet when I added the whole tub of butter cream frosting. I would recommend using less than a tub of frosting.

Delish! Nothing but praise for this simple recipe. I used a French Vanilla Mix & frosted with 2 cans of Whipped Vanilla and was delighted with the outcome. Highly recommend & and will be making this again and again.

Made this as a bundt, unfortunately i removed it from the pan before it had cooled. It still tasted awesome but fell apart somewhat. Gonna try again (and be sure to let it cool completely) and also try adding marshmallow fluff. It sounds like it will be good, but not sure how well it will bake.

I made this cake for some business vendors as a thank you. I used the candy cane oreos that's out during the holiday season. The minty taste and hint of red against the white was beautiful!

I baked this cake last night for my boyfriend Durweitte's birthday. He originally wanted a cookies and ice creme cake from Baskins Robbins, but he is lactose intolerant. This was a wonderful idea. I came out wonderful, and besides the smell was tempting before I could even finish baking it!! My 6 year old daughter Peanut and I had a lot of fun with this cake. She did the cookie crunching while I mixed the ingredients all together. This recipe is great for someone who wants to have fun while baking and who loves cookies and creme everything. I give it 5 stars *****!!!
