I just made this cake for a Christmas party tomorrow. I experimented and instead of using the pecan streusel filling, I used crushed up soft peppermint sticks. I plan on using a white flowing icing on top and will put the crushed peppermint sticks on it also. I hope it comes out good!

Wish I weren't wheat sensitive. But I can make it for my husband and grandkids and at least smell the chocolate.

Have this cake in the oven now...I gave a 5 star rating because anything chocolate has to be good. I could not find the Moist Deluxe Butter recipe Fudge cake mix at my grocery so I am making it with devils food. The icing will be milk chocolate since my grandson (10 yrs) loves chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Yummy. I'll post again later tonight to let you all know how it goes.....

I made this cake and it was delicious! I add a 1/2 stick or melted butter to the recipe to give it a richer texture. I've also made the Yellow Butter recipe version. I love all of Duncan Hines Cakes!

Hi! I was wondering, do you add the 1/2 stick melted butter along with the 1/3 cup oil? Also do you think I could bake this in 9x13x2 pan? Do you think I would have to adjust the baking time any? Thanks for your help!
