I am unable to locate the Moist Deluxe Butter Golden Cake Mix in my area, any suggestions for substitutions?

Just wanted to add that it turned out really good with the added chopped apples and cinnamon spice blend. I would add 2 tsp next time for more spice!

Added 3 chopped apples, 1/2 cup applesauce, 1 tsp cinnamon spice blend. Never made it before but I like to put my own twist on it.

I made some crockpot apple butter. I will use this instead of the applesauce and skip the spice.

Delicious cake but the oven needs to be at 350, one of my favorites, unsweetened applesauce works best!

Scb105, how much baking time did you add by baking at 350? I. personally don't like to bake anything at 375. Thank you

Try using Crisco Baking spray. I use it and it works well. It has flour already in there. Spray lightly

My dark bundt pans always state to lower the temperature. Also, my old pyrex glass cake pans stated that temperature be 25 degrees lower than regular medal pans. One of my dark heavy guage bundt even recommends 50 degrees lower.

I use a wilton flour/shortening product and brush it on with a fine pastry brush.

This cake was a huge success..I do wonder though if 375 for the oven is a little high..it started to burn around the edges way before it was due to come out of the oven..next time I will make adjustment to temp. So Yummy

This is a great recipe! I used cinnamon applesauce and skipped the additional cinnamon. Perfect!

We have black walnuts and I will be trying them. I am also interested in the chocolate coconut bundt cake.

Is sweetened or unsweetened applesauce better?

I tried this recipe and I must say it was scrumptious and so very easy to make. Everyone in my family fell in love with it. I got asked the other day to make another one so here goes, oh yea and by the way I don't like applesauce but with cake and cinnamon I will tolerate it.
