Chocolate Sock It To Me Cake

The same pecan streusel that you love about our popular Sock-It-To-Me Cake, this time fills a Duncan Hines Butter Recipe Fudge Cake. Try them both!

Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour 10-inch Bundt® or tube pan.
  2. Combine 2 tablespoons of cake mix, pecans and brown sugar in medium bowl; set aside.
  3. Combine remaining cake mix, eggs, sour cream, oil, water and granulated sugar in large bowl.
  4. Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed 4 minutes.
  5. Pour 2/3 of batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with pecan mixture. Spoon remaining batter evenly over pecans.
  6. Bake 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Cool cake on wire rack 25 minutes. Remove cake from pan and cool completely.
  8. Place frosting in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on High 10 to 15 seconds; stir until smooth. Drizzle over cake.

Perfect frosting

Perfect frosting

Cool cake in fridge, Use room temperature whipped frosting, mix it in the frosting container before applying to cake, Spread icing on cake, dont worry if any cake can see through, Put the cake in the fridge for 30mins til icing is hard, then take back out, and use the rest of the room temperature icing on the cake, and it will be thicker, and cover easier. Decorate, and fridge again.

Bubblegum Icecream

I just finished making a beautiful and delicious batch of Ice Cream using one of your Bubble Gum Frosting Creations. The color is perfect and the flavor is just right. I added the flavoring to the liquid mix and let it beat real well in my vita mixer. It would work in a blender also. I chilled the liquid for about 4 hours and then used my ice cream maker in the usual way. Delicious. Next will be pink lemonade.
