My family & friends are long time lovers of Brownies. Keeping that in mind, I remember they all loved the flavors of Caramel and Sweet & Salty treats. With these delicious rich moist fudge brownies and the decadent melt in your mouth goodness of this caramel frosting plus some added love with honey roasted peanuts and pretzels...my family and friends agree..this is a huge success!!

  • 1/3 cup honey roasted peanuts, finely chopped

Baking Instructions

Tips

Cake Board

Cake Board

Professionals place their cakes on a cake board (a precut cardboard circle) that is the same size at the cake it is holding. This allows the professional to place the cake on all types of service platters. Some platters may be delicate and not appropriate to cut on. If that is the case, the cake board will protect the platter from the sharp knife.

Applesauce Walnut Cake W/ a touch of Rum

Applesauce Walnut Cake W/ a touch of Rum

For a special kick to this delicious cake, you can add a tablespoon (or two) of Rum extract. For the topping: Mix 1/4 stick of butter, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, one Tbsp of water, 1/4 cup of crush walnut, mix together over medium heat in a small pan. Then pour topping over finish cake. You may want to pinch with a knife in a few places so the glaze will penetrate into the cake. Finish off with a light sprinkle of cinnamon sugar. Wow, The cake goes from great to superb!
