Cinnamon Swirl Brownies

Bursting with cinnamon, these unusual brownies will be an instant hit. You might want to warn people that they are cinnamon ~ most people expect light brown frosting to be peanut butter. One bite and you'll be hooked!

  • 1 packet of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Cinnamon Roll Flavor Mix and 1 can of Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter (remove ½ teaspoon dry mix for filling)
  • Duncan Hines Chewy Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • Freshly grated cinnamon

Baking Instructions

  1. Pour pack of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Cinnamon Roll Flavor Mix (reserving ½ teaspoon) into can of Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Frosting Starter. Stir until evenly blended.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 8” square pan.
  3. Stir brownie mix, 2 eggs, oil, and water together in a large bowl.
  4. In a separate bowl, stir together softened cream cheese, sugar, 1 egg, flour, and reserved ½ teaspoon Duncan Hines® Frosting Creations™ Cinnamon Roll Flavor Mix.
  5. Pour brownie mixture into prepared pan. Spoon cream cheese mixture on top. Cut an knife through to marbleize.
  6. Bake for 35–38 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and cool completely.
  8. Frost with prepared Duncan Hines® Cinnamon Roll Frosting.
  9. Grind fresh cinnamon on top.

Cut Out Cookies

When rolling out cookies to cut with cookies cutters, roll the dough between 2 sheets of wax paper, then freeze the rolled out dough in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes. Peel off the wax paper and use your cookies cutters on the frozen dough to cut out perfect shapes everytime!

Make Devils Food Pound cake as directed, except do a layer cake filled with Chocolate Mousse and frosted with a Fluffy White Frosting. Or this one is my favorite, again bake Devils Food Pound Cake as layers, fill with Cherry Pie Filling, reserve a third. On the top of the cake, in the center, place the remaining Cherry Pie Filling. Frost the sides with a fluffy white frosting around the cherry filling. Then crush in a food processor thin chocolate wafers, sprinkle on top of frosted cake
