Ingredients Baking Instructions

Double Decker Confetti Brownies:

  • 3/4 Cup Butter or margarine (1 1/2 sticks)
  • 1 Cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 3 Large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 1/2 Cups All-Purpose flour, divided
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking POWDER
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/3 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa powder
  • 1 TBSP butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 Cup M&M's semi-sweet baking bits, divided
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (325 degrees F if using glass, dark or coated pan). Lightly grease 13x9x2 inch baking pan; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy; beat in eggs and vanilla.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine 2 1/4 cups flour, baking POWDER and salt; blend into creamed mixture. Divide batter in HALF. Blend together the melted butter and the cocoa powder; stir into one HALF of the dough.
  4. Spread cocoa dough evenly into prepared pan. Stir remaining 1/4 CUP flour and 1/2 Cup baking bits into remaining dough; spread evenly over cocoa dough in baking pan.
  5. Sprinkle top with remaining M&M baking bits.
  6. Bake in preheated oven for 25 - 30 minutes or until edges begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack, before cutting into bars.
  7. Store in tightly covered container.
