Salted Caramel Bacon Chocolate Chip Brownies

To answer our question, yes, they are rich. The great thing about that though, just a small slice satisfies, so this 13x9 pan of chocolate caramel richness goes far in feeding a group.

Ingredients

  • 1 Box Duncan Hines Family Size Milk Chocolate Brownie Mix
  • 1 Duncan Hines 6.7-oz Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • 6 slices of thick quality bacon
  • 1/4 Torani Salted Caramel Syrup
  • 3 tablespoons Torani Salted Caramel Syrup
  • 1/4 water
  • 3 eggs, divided
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 salted caramel bacon drippings
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 Frosting Creations Frosting
  • 1 packet Chocolate Marshmallow
  • Optional Caramel/Chocolate Syrup, Whipped Cream

Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350º. Spray a 13x9 in baking pan with baking spray.
  2. Cook bacon until crispy. Add ¼ cup of salted caramel syrup and cook for another 3-5 minutes. Remove bacon and place on wax paper lined plate to cool. Reserve a ¼ cup of pan drippings for brownies. Refrigerate bacon for later use.
  3. In medium sized mixing bowl add brownie mix, water, 2 eggs and ¼ cup bacon drippings, stir until blended. Spread into prepared baking pan.
  4. In a medium size mixing add cookie mix, 3 tablespoons of salted caramel syrup, and egg. Stir until blended. Scoop small size amounts of cookie dough onto brownie layer (4 width, 6 length). After finished gently press into brownie mixture.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. Prepare frosting with Frosting Creations Packet.
  7. Immediately after removing brownies from oven evenly spread chocolate chips, allow them to begin to melt, top with ½ the container of frosting, spread evenly. Allow to cool completely.
  8. Crumble salted caramel bacon and spread evenly over brownies. Drizzle with syrups if desired and serve with whipped cream. Refrigerate.

Google images is good for recipes, has its own search box. I see a lot that looks good and often clicking on the photo you get the recipe. Sometimes you don't. I use it all the time now. Last night it was custard bars. Then I will see something different mixed in that looks so good, I get sidetracked and get the recipe.
