Brownies:

Frosting:

  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1/3 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp Butter, softened

Drizzle:

  • 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening
  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F. Spray only the bottom of 13x9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Prepare and bake brownies according to package directions for cake-like brownies. Cool 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. For frosting, combine confectioners' sugar, peanut butter, milk and butter in small bowl. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until blended. Spread over warm brownies.
  4. For drizzle, place chocolate chips and shortening in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high power for 1 minute or until melted. Drizzle over frosting. Allow chocolate drizzle to set before cutting into bars.

Easy looks so beautiful and tastes delicious!!! I made just a few changes to make it dairy free: I didnt use milk at all i subbed water instead and used 2 tbls and oil instead of butter. Truly delicious! A total do over!

this is a great recipe, but after reading the reviews, i used2 tbsp of milk only. not 1/4 + 2 tbsp1/4 cup of milk that would be WAY too much. and mine turned out SOOOO good after i left them in the fridge over night.

I also want to say that don't put the drizzle in the microwave for 1 minute it must be a typo cuz it burned the chocolate. Just wanted to tell you.

Hi the brownies were good, but i think the milk in the frosting was the wrong measurement. It says 1/4 cup and 2 tbsp but that is way too much. Is this a typo?

The peanut butter frosting was so easy to make. It was a hit with my family and friends. I will continue to make it and add to my brownies.

Awesome! I made it with a couple variations to the frosting... made it as directed and then added Heath toffee to the mix (didn't measure, eye-balled it - sorry...) and then decided to get creative with some food coloring.... 7 drops of red and 5 drops of yellow made this a lovely shade of orange.... used Baker's semi-sweet chocolate chunks melted w/ a 1/2 tbsp of veggie oil and a separate dish of melted white chocolate chip drizzle and drizzled each individually -- Cool Halloween-Themed treat for a dinner party! Thanks!
