Directions

You Will Need:

Fudgy Brownies:

  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1/3 Cup Water
  • 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil

Cake-like Brownies:

  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 Tablespoons Water
  • 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil

Pan Size/Bake Time:

  • 8" x 8": 35-38 minutes
  • 9" x 9": 30-33 minutes
  • Makes 16 Brownies
  1. Prep: PREHEAT oven to 350°F for metal pan, 325°F for dark or coated pan. GREASE bottom of pan with shortening.
  2. Mix: EMPTY Brownie Mix, eggs, water, oil, and contents of fudge packet in large bowl. STIR until well blended (about 50 strokes). SPREAD into greased pan.
  3. Bake: BAKE following chart below. ADD 3-5 minutes for dark or coated pan. Brownies are done when toothpick inserted an inch from the edge of pan comes out clean. COOL completely in pan before cutting and serving.



Lower Fat Recipe:

Prepare and bake brownies following directions above except using 1 large egg, 1 tablespoon water. 1/3 Cup unsweetened applesauce. Reduce baking time 1-2 minutes

High Altitude (over 3,500 ft.):

Heat oven to 350°F. Stir 3 tablespoons flour into brownie mix. Mix and. Prepare according to above directions.
