Default Strawberry & chocolate Checkerboard Cake

Hello,
I made this for the challenge today. I used Strawberry SHortcake Frosting Creations.. I dipped the Strawberries in the same icing.. cake is DH Dark and Strawberry cake..

I try not to copy or duplicate someone's recipe here esp. the ones Duncan Hines created.. I want to come up with my very own creation, to me that is what creativity is all about...

OK...It's beautiful...and I am so jealous!

I tried making a checkerboard cake twice in my lifetime, special pans and all.
The 1st time the cake got dumped....the 2nd time the cake AND the pans hit the garbage.

It looks fantastic!

Hi mh,

I know and we were just talking abot it last week right ?? Get another set of pans and do it again.. I will give you some tips .. it is really not hard, just some patience.
