for a moister cake put a pan of water in the oven when your baking this keeps the cakes and cupcakes moist.

I'm curious if anyone else places a pan of water in the oven when baking cakes?? Also, I recently read that others have been using evaporated milk in place of the water that cake recipes call for in order to make richer & moister cakes- after trying this (twice now) w/ cupcakes- I'm happy to say it definitely works!
